The clamp that comes with the saw is too far away from the blade and I sometimes have to cut small parts that won\u2019t reach the clamp.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no way I\u2019m holding them with my hand so I made a platform that you can clamp on the top of the saw. I put T-tracks on the top so you can slide clamps in at different positions to hold the workpiece down safely.<\/p>\n<p>The table also doubles as zero-clearance for the blade below and in back by the fence so it improves dust collection even more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scoff.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/img_3955.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scoff.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/img_3955.jpg\"><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>T-track dimensions compatible with Festool clamps:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scoff.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/img_3956.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scoff.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/img_3956.jpg\"><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made an improvement to my mitre saw.
